“ACTIVATED” gives us a man possessed. OfficialHardBodyMusic goes full dark mode from start to finish. Each beat boasts gloomy production and every verse has a menacing bop.
The intro/title track (produced by Forward Thinking ENT in-house producer/engineer UnspokenVirtue), is a grisly vignette that establishes the mood early on.
Halfway through the album, Stone Cold, a pithy solo record over favorable instrumentation, displays HardBody at his deadliest. As for the songs that are collaborative efforts, each feature artist steps into this world of darkness & none of them sound like intruders.
The project’s outro serves as an introspective confessional, where he holds himself accountable for his darker days. He spreads himself over 3 verses, each one leaving him unguarded & vulnerable. Going Dark is a honest & unabashed moment of clarity and reflection.
